Delegation from the Georgian Parliament visits IFAT

As part of their official visit to Hungary, the delegation of the Georgian Parliament, which was led by Sofio Katsarava, president of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Tbilisi Parliament - visited the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Márton Schőberl, Director of IFAT and Dr. László Vasa, Deputy Director for Operations welcomed the delegation and after a short discussion on the current events of world politics, presented the work and structure of IFAT to the Gerorgian MEPs from both the governing and opposition parties.

During the discussion, the parties elaborated on the Visegrad Cooperation, and the forthcoming period of summer 2017 since Hungary will take over the V4 rotational presidency at that time.

President Katsarava welcomed the efforts made by Hungary towards the support of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration and visa liberalisation.
