Executive Dean of Fudan University visit IFAT
On 13th February 2018 Mr. Huang Renwei, executive dean of Fudan University and president of Scientific Committee of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences visited the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade, where he participated in a meeting with IFAT colleagues discussing Sino-Hungarian economic relations and issues related to the ‘16+1’ cooperation.
With a history of more than 110 years, the Shanghai-based Fudan University is a leading institute in Chinese tertiary education providing trainings for around 30,000 students. The Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences is China's oldest institution for social sciences. Mr. Huang Renwei arrived to Hungary as a participant of ‘Lámfalussy Lectures’ conference. When visiting the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade he was hosted by Mr. László Vasa, PhD, deputy director of IFAT and Mr. Péter Goreczky, senior analyst.
Main topics of the meeting were Chinese investments in Hungary and the relations of Central and Eastern European states with the Asian country. Besides the parties discussed the future development of the ‘16+1’ cooperation and related attitude of the European Union.
