Made in Hungary: roundtable discussion with Hungarian executives of foreign manufacturing companies

On 31 January the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade (IFAT) hosted a roundtable discussion analysing the Hungarian business and investment environment from the perspective of foreign manufacturing companies. Zoltán Kiss, senior director of operations of NCR Magyarország Kft. and János Peer, managing director of CooperVision CL Hungary Kft. were invited as participants of the roundtable. The discussion was moderated by Péter Goreczky, Senior Analyst of the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade.

In the discussion both participants highlighted that the biggest challenge faced by their companies currently is the supply in labour force, while cost-effectiveness is the key for future success. According to their remarks investing in people is the best decision at national and corporate level as well, however there is a great need for the development of the educational system.
