The delegation of IFAT visited Algeria
On the 30th and 31st of January , 2019, the first Algerian-Hungarian Academic Seminar took place in Algiers with the participation of the researchers from the two countries. Besides the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Corvinus University of Budapest, the University of Szeged, the University of Public Service, the Századvég Foundation, as well as the Hungarian Academy of Sciences was represented in the Hungarian delegation.
On the first day of the event Algerian and Hungarian experts gave lectures about terrorism, the challenges of the Euro-Mediterranean region, the results of the MENARA project, and the experiences of economic transition in the Central European and North African region. On the second day, panel discussions took place regarding possible forms of future coooperation.
On the second day of the event a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IFAT and Centre de Recherche en Économie Appliquée pour le Développement.
