About the V4 Roadshow
From July 2017 to June 2018, Hungary is holding the rotating Presidency of the Visegrad Group for the fifth time. The importance of the Visegrad Cooperation - based on the principles of mutual trust, flexibility, and a focus on common traditions, values and interests which are guiding the V4 since its foundation in 1991 - has been growing recently. In line with the aims of the Hungarian V4 Presidency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade in cooperation with their partner institutions organise the V4 Roadshow during the spring semester in order to strengthen the social awareness of the Hungarian public on the V4.
The aim of the V4 Roadshow is to shed light on the current issues, challenges and prospects of the Visegrad Cooperation by organising roundtable discussions followed by a Q&A session in multiple Hungarian universities across the country with the help of researchers from our partner institutions in the Think Visegrad Network, hosting universities and organisations.
The interactive discussions cover the history, current situation and future challenges of V4 as well as its role in the EU, describing Hungarian interests as well as any possible disagreements.
