Sándor earned his PhD title and habilitation from Corvinus University of Budapest. His main fields of research are: economic, political and social processes of Latin American countries (mainly: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela) and Spain, furthermore the process of global, regional and European integration. He is co-author of six books, and author or co-author of several academic papers written in Hungarian or in foreign languages. He has been giving lectures in Hungarian, English and Spanish. He has been a visiting professor in Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Peru and Ecuador, moreover was a speaker at several international conferences. He currently serves as IFAT’s coordinator for the “Opening to the South and Euroatlantic Relations programmes.
