As the Middle East and North Africa Regional Architecture (MENARA) project comes to an end by the 31st of March, the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade (IFAT) – in cooperation with Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB) – organised a concluding conference with the title “Changing Domestic Orders in the Middle East and North Africa”. The event took place on the 21st of March, 2019, at Corvinus University of Budapest.
Director of IFAT, Márton Ugrósdy participated at the 10th International Black Sea Symposium organized by ICBSS in Athens on March 7.
On 4th February 2019, the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade hosted a roundtable discussion entitled “Innovation in the Hungarian defense sector”, which focused on the outlook for research + development activities within the Hungarian armed forces.
On 30 August, former Brazilian ambassador to Budapest Sergio Eduardo Moreira Lima visited the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade in his capacity as president of the Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation (Fundação Alexandre de Gusmão, FUNAG).
Several experts of the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade attended the 19th Euro-Atlantic Summer University, held between 22-27th July, 2018. Director Márton Ugrósdy as well as Bence Németh, Tamás Levente Molnár, Máté Szalai and Gergely Varga research fellows participated in the event organized jointly by the Budapest Garrison Brigade "Vitéz Sándor Szurmay" and the Center for Strategic and Defense Studies of the National University of Public Service in Szolnok.
