KKI 4:1 – NATO anniversary: will there be another 70 years?

Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of NATO and the 20th anniversary of Hungary’s accession to the Alliance, anomalously in the current issue of the 4:1 series of the Institute of International Affairs and Trade three fomer and one current ambassador of Hungary to NATO will reflect on the same question. In the current issue we asked the following question: „NATO anniversary: will there be another 70 years?”    

Hungary’s performance in NATO over the past 20 years – Past, Present, Future

This month marks the 20th anniversary since Hungary joined one of the main pillars of transatlantic political and security architecture in 1999, the North Atlantic Treaty Organizations. To celebrate the anniversary the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade has organized a roundtable discussion to evaluate the effects of the membership on Hungary – US relations, Hungary’s current military development, and what the future holds for NATO.

Experts of IFAT delivered lectures at the 19th Euro-Atlantic Summer University

Several experts of the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade attended the 19th Euro-Atlantic Summer University, held between 22-27th July, 2018. Director Márton Ugrósdy as well as Bence Németh, Tamás Levente Molnár, Máté Szalai and Gergely Varga research fellows participated in the event organized jointly by the Budapest Garrison Brigade "Vitéz Sándor Szurmay" and the Center for Strategic and Defense Studies of the National University of Public Service in Szolnok.

2019/09 – NATO anniversary: will there be another 70 years?

In the 4:1 series of the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade, four researchers give a short answer to the same questions concerning international politics and economics. Our aim is to launch the scientific debates in Hungary and promote dialogue among experts. In this issue, our topic is: “NATO anniversary: will there be another 70 years?”
