Péter holds a Master degree in Science of Library and Political Science. He received his PhD from the University of Pécs, his dissertation explored the emergence of Political Islam in Central Asia after the break-up of the Soviet Union. Péter’s main fields of research are the conflicts of Central Asia and the Middle East, international terrorism, security policy and transatlantic relations. He spent eighteen months in Copenhagen between 2014-2016. Since 2006 he has researched and visited NATO’s and Hungary’s international crisis management missions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo and Cyprus. Péter co-authored two books on Iraq, and co-edited two books on Hungary’s NATO mission in Afghanistan and participation in the CSDP.
